AP Govt appoints governing councils for three prominent temples in the state
The YSRCP government headed by chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has appointed the governing council for three prominent temples in Andhra Pradesh.
The YSRCP government headed by chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has appointed the governing council for three prominent temples in Andhra Pradesh. The government has given orders for governing council for Simhachalam, Dwarka Thirumala and Vijayawada temples. Also, the government has appointed 16 members to each council.
The Ex-officio members will be the chief priests of the three temples. The government said that one of the family members of Simhachalam and Dwaraka Thirumala will be the chairman of. On the other hand, there is a possibility of electing Paila Somnaidu as chairman of the governing board of Vijayawada Durga Temple. CM YS Jagan promised to give women more prominence in temples, which is a good move as the woman play a crucial role in the offering prayers.
