The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday has issued a verdict on the petition seeking to erase the YSRCP party colours from government offices and panchayat buildings. The court has directed the election commission to remove the party colours from the buildings within 10 days.

The High Court has asked the CS to submit evidence in the form of a report that the court's orders have been executed. The court, which heard the petition filed by Muppa Venkateswara Rao of Pallapadu in Guntur district, has given orders to this effect.

Earlier on January 20, the High Court directed the state government to erase the YSRCP colours on all government buildings across the state after TDP objecting to it and filed the cases in the high court. The high court has put a responsibility on the Election Commission to erase the party colours.
