The RTC services in the district are likely to be resumed from May 18, following lockdown norms, he said. He said to The Hans India on Thursday that there are 51 Super luxury and 25 Ultra Delux services in Chittoor division covering seven depots.

Social distancing would be maintained strictly in the buses and seating arrangement in the buses has been changed reducing the occupancy rate to 50 percent .

Bus fares would be hiked accordingly and tickets would be issued in the computer reservation counters," he said.

He further said that there would be no cash collection in the buses towards fares and the drivers would alone maintain the buses and sanitisers would be provided at the bus stations.
