APSRTC, which gave a break to AC bus services in the wake of the lockdown, is now focusing on running the services.

APSRTC, which gave a break to AC bus services in the wake of the lockdown, is now focusing on running the services. Indira AC bus services has already started from Vijayawada to Visakhapatnam. In view of the demand, the APSRTC is contemplating to run few more AC buses to Tirupati, Kadapa and Kurnool areas including Vishakha.

On the other hand, bus services are increasing day by day due to the lockdown. From the Krishna region two to three days ago, about 200 buses plied to different parts of the state, increasing the number to 308 as of Monday. Most of the buses through Visakhapatnam and Rajahmundry routes has high demand. (Don't open schools yet)

The buses ply between six in the morning and seven in the night after RTC bus services are allowed. It is reported that the passengers are not in a mood to take Palle Velugu buses, which is bringing the board into losses. However, in the event of urgency conditions, some rural services are running and are canceled on less occupancy routes. RTC Krishna Region RM Nagendra Prasad told the witness that the increase in the number of passengers will be taken up and increase the services.
