Andhra Pradesh State Road Transportation Corporation has launched cashless services in the state-run buses. A pilot project for cashless travel in RTC buses was launched by Vijayawada RTC management on Wednesday to this extent. As part of this, RTC Vice Chairman and MD Madireddy Pratap launched the Chalo Mobile App for paying the bus charges through the app.

Chalo App will be useful for 2.5 lakh travellers. RTC has also made smart cards available in addition to the Chalo app. RTC MD Pratap said smart cards could be used through the TIM mission.

Speaking after the launch, MD Pratap has asserted about the advantages of the Chalo App, which enables the staff to save time. It is mostly useful for employers and traders who opt for public transportation.
