Kakinada: District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy said that Indian Navy along with Indian Army will be conducting amphibious exercise, Jalprahar 20 at Naval Enclave Kakinada from Nov 24 to 26.

He said that beaching operations will be performed by the Indian Navy and Indian Army which will involve landing of Army troops along with amphibious transports at Naval Enclave, Kakinada.

Helicopter operations will be carried out by Navy and Army which involve the embarkation and disembarkation of senior officers of Navy and Army.

He said that the traffic coming towards Uppada Beach road will be diverted through an alternate route for the three days. The entire beach road would remain closed to the public for approximately eight days commencing from November 19.

He directed the municipal authorities to undertake efforts for beach cleaning as the entire enclave as well as the beach is littered with plastic, garbage, broken and empty bottles.

He directed the police officials to make adequate arrangements for traffic diversion, security to prevent civilian entry to enclave as well as prevent crowding by the general public.
