Kadapa: The regional meeting of BJP Rayalaseema area important leaders have stressed the need of state government to extend its support for the establishment of a steel plant in Kadapa district. The meeting also demanded the government to take initiative for storing 210 tmcft of water in all reservoirs and 20 tomcat's in Gandikota reservoir in the interest of farmers irrigating crops in the district.

Speaking the occasion not Bharatheeya Janatha Party AP state president Kanna Lakshmi Narayana has said that central government is prepared to construct steel plant if state government provided necessary facilities. The BJP leader has alleged that due to lack of coordination from the previous government central was not able to complete the steel plant. He said the establishment of a steel plant is necessary for Kadapa as the number of unemployed youth from the district are migrating to other areas for the lively hood.

The BJP state leader pointed out despite several leaders from Rayalaseema region represented in various capacities like Chief Ministers, Central Ministers but there was no expected development achieved. He demanded the state government take initiative for the establishment of the high court in Kurnool in the interest of Rayalaseema development. He alleged that for several decades governments least bothered over the completion of pending irrigation projects leads Rayalaseema area has been facing severe drought situation. He also demanded the government to extend support to the families of farmers and weavers Committed suicides.

Former minister Manikyala Rao said that it is unfortunate Rayalaseema area has been lacking behind the development only because of politicians neglected it's development. The former minister recalled that several leaders from Rayalaseema region occupied key posts enjoyed the power but neglected the people. "Central government is Keen on developing Rayalaseema region by allocating more funds and complete important projects in this region".

Earlier Cm Ramesh inaugurated ambulance, CC cameras in at proddatur government area hospital sanctioned from MP funds.

Party national secretary Sathya Kumar, Rajyasabha member Cm Ramesh, state vice president Vishnuvardhan Reddy, former minister RavelaKishore babu, district president Srinath Reddy and others were present.
