Centre gives nod to set up Regional Institute of Education in Nellore

Vijayawada: National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) is planning to set up its Regional Institute of Education (RIE) in Andhra Pradesh.
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has suggested the Ministry of Human Resource Development to come up with a detailed report on the establishment of RIE at Nellore in Andhra Pradesh.
The Vice President has also discussed it with the Union Minister for HRD Ramesh Pokhriyal. The HRD Minister has given his nod for the project under AP Reorganization Act.
The state government has already allotted 50 acres of land at Nellore for the project.
