- YSR Congress chief said it was only due to insecurity and failing to do good for the people
- Jagan asked why the TDP had removed its manifesto of 2014 polls from its website
Nellore: YSR Congress Chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy lampooned the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu why he had failed to say about his progress of last 5 years rather chanting his rival's name even for 100 times a day for last 10 days.
He addressed the huge gathering in Kavali town on Wednesday and said the Chief Minister Chandrababu and his son Lokesh resorted to huge corruption during their regime and hence they were not able to explain about the progress.
"Person who cannot work is always anger (Pani Cheyani Vadiki Kopamekkuva) and now the situation of Chandrababu is similar. He failed to do what he said in the 50-page manifesto that was having around 650 assurances. Now, his supporting media is conducting debates only on the opposition planning to divert the attention of the public who question them what progress the ruling party had achieved," said Jagan.
He said people are escaping even though the chief minister is ready to offer party member-ship with yellow attire. Because he said, people know what TDP had failed to do and what has done virtually. He quipped that the ruling party that it had simply removed its manifesto of 2014 elections from its official website which indicates their failure.
The ruling party failed to waive agriculture loans, failed to provide quality power, and employment to each family as assured in the manifesto. He asked the public to demand Rs. 1.20 lakh for each family as the government owed to them for failing to provide employment or dole.
"Chandrababu is again coming with another manifesto (showing copy of the old one) and show you another cinema. Don't believe them. They swallowed lands, assets, natural resources, and even failed to keep his promises on," said YSR Congress Chief.
Jaganmohan Reddy said that the ruling party had continued political tie up (rajakeeya Samsaram) for four years and failed to ask for the Special Category Status. During the fifth year, Chandrababu started fighting with the Government at the Centre wearing a black shirt and staging Dharmaporata Deeksha, he said. Jagan criticized that the CM had put his efforts for tie-up with the TRS at the time of Harikrishna's death and started criticizing them when they refused for such proposal.
"What he does is right, and others is a sin (Vallu cheste samsaram, verevallu cheste vyabhicharam). He is coming with huge money for buying votes. Don't get lured for such attractions and say Jagan will do the best for our education, employment and livelihood. If the elections hadn't been announced the CM would not have given you Rs. 2,000 pension," Jaganmohan Reddy said. Party MP candidate Adala Prabhakar, assembly candidate Pratap-Kumar, party legislators Govardhan Reddy and others were present.
