Chandrababu Naidu launches iTDP app to connect party workers
TDP chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday launched the ‘iTDP’, the Telugu Desam’s digital wing meant for facilitating quick communication between the cadre and party leadership
Amaravati: TDP chief and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday launched the 'iTDP', the Telugu Desam's digital wing meant for facilitating quick communication between the cadre and party leadership.
The iTDP app was designed as a platform to post info by anyone wishing to raise their voice on urgent grassroots problems.
These past few weeks, the wing was instrumental in bringing testimonials from victims to reach the government, especially disaster-affected farmers who were unable to gain any compensation.
On December 24, the iTDP app was launched officially through the iTDP Digital Conclave attended by a thousand viewers.
Considering the proliferation of social media platforms, the app aims to be a one-stop app for information about issues to be passed both ways. With its volunteers extending to even the village level, iTDP works on gaining news about any kind of issue happening at the grassroots.
In the words of Chintakayala Vijay, "Any party worker can post content about local issues or receive updates about the party's instructions in real-time. It gives youth a direct line to the party headquarters in highlighting urgent social issues."
The iTDP was the first app of its kind for a regional party. With its base of 60 lakh party workers, the app could be a breakthrough in removing accessibility issues between local leaders and those heading the party at the state-level.
