Amaravati: Time has come for TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu to seek atonement for the sins that he had committed and eschew from playing dirty politics, said Telugu Academy Chairperson N Lakshmi Parvathi. Speaking to the media here on Friday, she said it was through the strenuous efforts of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and through his welfare agenda that the government has successfully completed a year in the service of the people. In this connection, she said if selfish people come to power, it is the party that gains through it, but if the government works for people's welfare, it is the people who are benefitted, which could be seen in the past one year.

She said what Naidu had achieved through his misrule was clearly visible in the tremendous mandate that the YSRCP got in the elections last year. It was quite evident how successfully Jagan Mohan Reddy had carried out the administration over the past year so successfully.

She said it was unfortunate that Naidu who has crossed his prime and has to lead a life of piety by seeking atonement for the evils he had committed, was still bent on mud-slinging against the government. While the government was clearing all the debts incurred by the TDP government and fulfilling all promises made to the people, it was really bad on the part of Naidu to carry out a vicious campaign against the government, instead of leading a peaceful life by playing with his grandson.

It was only Jagan Mohan Reddy who had fulfilled all the promises in just one year and that is an achievement which no other Chief Minister can claim credit for, she said. This has been acknowledged by leaders all over the country and the schemes that he brought about are being emulated by other states. All the neighbouring state Chief Ministers were praising him of being a visionary who has brought about a remarkable change in the governance, she added.
