Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) celebrated Children’s Day on Thursday by conducting quiz and drawing competitions to the students at SV University Srinivasa auditorium.
Tirupati: Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) celebrated Children's Day on Thursday by conducting quiz and drawing competitions to the students at SV University Srinivasa auditorium.
Chittoor District Collector Dr N Bharat Gupta, while addressing students on the occasion, stated that childhood is the precious period in every one's life and it is the right age to learn many things and acquire knowledge pertaining to studies.
Later, he distributed prizes to students who won in the quiz and drawing competitions under Smart City programme. Another guest TTD additional EO AV Dharma Reddy expressed happiness over the active participation of students.
MCT Commissioner PS Girisha said that to encourage the students,the civic body planned to conduct quiz and drawing competition on the occasion of Children's Day which is the birth day of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
Tirupati Urban SP Dr Gaja Rao Bhupal appreciated gave a call to the students to show their talent both in studies and in extracurricular activities. Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Haritha , DC Chandramouleeswar Reddy, students and teachers participated in the programme.
