Chittoor: Municipal Commissioner C Obulesh regretted that people have not been cooperating for strict implementation of protocols to prevent spread of Covid-19 in the district.
After careful analysis of the practical difficulties being faced by the common people, the state government had relaxed the guidelines.
But the cooperation from the common people and the commercial establishments was highly disappointed, he said.
The Commissioner visited the containment zones in Chittoor city along with town planning, public health staff on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion , he said that the surge of corona positive cases in city was alarming despite initiating all precautions to curb the disease.
It is understood that people and business establishments are not following the prescribed norms of lockdown .
City planning officer Nagendra, Health Officer Dr Vinod Kumar, Sanitary Inspector Chinnaiah and others were present.
