Civic body plans to set up Eat Street points in Tirupati
1. Under Smart City project the new facility will come for local residents’ recreation.
2. Civic body also engages third party agency to clear waste construction material from building sites on payment basis.
Tirupati: Municipal Commissioner PS Girisha that Tirupati Municipal Corporation is going to set up Eat Street under Smart City project in the city for recreation of the local people. Addressing the media at TUDA office on Wednesday, he said that civic body is studying various streets to set up Eat Street points and within two months the project will be materialised. This type of Eat Streets are being maintained in Vijayawada and Vizag.
He gave a call to the people to cooperate with ward volunteers to collect information from households as part of Prajadhikara Survey as providing of personal data to MCT is useful to every household to get benefits of welfare schemes from government. He stated that the volunteers have to show their ID cards before seeking information.
The commissioner also announced that civic body has engaged a third party agency to clear the waste construction material from building sites in the city on payment basis. For this MCT entered into an MOU with the private agency. It collects debris waste from site the material can be recycled in scientific manner. People can approach the private agency to clear their waste building materials from the construction sites on payment basis. If any person dumps the construction waste on roads, he will be charged with huge penalty, PS Girisha warned.
