Vijayawada: Telugu Desam Party national president N Chandrababu Naidu said now the State government officials understand what 'Pulivendula Panchayati' (Pulivendula-style of politics) is and they would come to know the difference between the administration of the TDP and YSRCP.

He made this comment while addressing the party leaders at the party election observers meeting organised at a private function hall here on Tuesday. The TDP is gearing up to face the local body elections and conducted a State level meeting in Vijayawada.

Referring to the sudden transfer of Chief Secretary L V Subramanyam on Monday to the post of little importance in Bapatla, Chandrababu Naidu said the Chief Minister was terrorising the officials with his attitude. He questioned what wrong was made by the Chief Secretary and why he was suddenly transferred.

He termed the sudden transfer as a heinous act. Naidu said that he had warned the officials of the State government before the elections that they had to face the Pulivendula Panchayati if the YSRCP is voted to power.

He said, "I have warned that the Pulivendula Panchayati type of rule will prevail in the State if the YSRCP is elected and the same is happening in the State," said Naidu. He further said now people are taking to the streets and more will follow in the coming days due to the misrule of the State government.

He said that the YSRCP government does not know how to create wealth and achieve progress. Naidu said development came to a halt in the State ever since the YSRCP government came to power.

He has demanded that the State government release the bills related to the MNRGES works done during the previous TDP rule. He said the Central government had granted its share of Rs 1,450 crore but the State government is not releasing its matching grants.

He recalled that works worth more than Rs 25,000 crore were undertaken during the TDP rule with the support of the Union government and now the YSRCP government has failed to execute the works.

He said lakhs of construction workers are now left without work due to non availability of sand. He alleged that the State government is not ready to inaugurate the houses constructed for the poor during the TDP rule.

He demanded that the government should take steps to inaugurate the houses at the earliest. He pointed out that the TDP government constructed houses utilising modern technology. He appealed to the TDP workers to get ready for the local body elections in the State.
