CM YS Jagan running away from taking oath before God, says Lokesh

Amaravati: Former minister and TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Saturday asked YSRP MP Vijayasai Reddy to clarify whether or not Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy would 'swear' at Simhachalam Appanna Swamy temple.

Lokesh said that the Chief Minister was running away from his challenge to take oath. Now, Vijayasai Reddy was talking about 'debate' but not accepting the original challenge. The Chief Minister had no courage to swear on God to say that his party allegations being made against the TDP were true, he said in a statement here on Saturday.

Lokesh accused the YSRCP MP of indulging in mud slinging politics in order to divert the public attention from their party government's failures. The latest incident revealed that there was no truth in the charges being made by the ruling party leaders. The YSRCP regime was trying to pass time and continues its misdeeds by indulging in a propaganda of lies and untruths, he added.

He renewed his challenge and offered to swear at Appanna temple at Simhachalam that all the allegations being made against him by the YSRCP leaders were false and fake. It was only at the behest of Jagan Mohan Reddy that Vijayasai and other leaders were levelling baseless allegations. Instead of looking after welfare and development, the ruling party leaders were looting on one hand and indulging in mud slinging politics on the other, he alleged.

Lokesh said that the YSRCP government had failed to prevent the attacks on the Hindu dharma in the state but it was using nefarious tactics to block Chandrababu Naidu's visit. The police had failed to prevent the desecration of idols, he said.
