Vijayawada: The members of Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) met Director General of Police (DGP) Goutam Sawang on Friday and lodged a complaint against the attacks on journalists in the State.

They requested him to arrest those who were involved in the murder of reporter K Satyanarayana (Andhra Jyothi). They also gave him the details of the attack on Vishalandhra reporter Karuna in Srikakulam district. The DGP assured them to take action in the two incidents.

APUWJ president I V Subba Rao, IJU vice-president Ambati Anjaneyulu, senior leaders Alapati Suresh Kumar, N Chalapathi Rao, Chava Ravi, Daram Venkateswa Rao and Siva were present.
