Nellore: District Collector M V Seshagiri Babu on Friday asked the contested candidates in the recent elections to submit their poll expenditure statements within 30 days of announcement of results. Participating in a review meeting at ZP Conference Hall here, he said the expenditure should not exceed Rs 28 lakh in case of Assembly segments and Rs 70 lakh in case of Lok Sabha constituencies.
The Collector said the expenditure statements should be submitted in a specific format. DRO C Chandrasekhar Reddy thanked the candidates of all parties and independents for supporting the administration in conducting the elections smoothly in the district. Candidates, agents, and officials were present.
