The three-day coronation ceremony of Ponnangi Kiran Kumar Sarma, the 26-year-old bachelor, as successor-designate (Uttaradhikari) of Visakha Sarada Peetham, began on a grand note at the Ganapati Sachidananda Ashram in Tadepalli, Guntur district on Saturday.

Vijayawada: The three-day coronation ceremony of Ponnangi Kiran Kumar Sarma, the 26-year-old bachelor, as successor-designate (Uttaradhikari) of Visakha Sarada Peetham, began on a grand note at the Ganapati Sachidananda Ashram in Tadepalli, Guntur district on Saturday. Visakha Sarada Peetham seer Swaroopanandendra Swamy supervised the spiritual events took place on Saturday.

On the first day, the priests have started the Sanyasanga Chatushkrutya Prayaschittam and performed Dasa Vidha Snanam. Endowments Minister Velampalli Srinivas, Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu, DGP Gautam Sawang, Vijayawada Commissioner of Police Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Kanaka Durga Temple Executive Officer V Koteswaramma and others attended the events on the first-day and took the blessings of Swamy Swaroopanandendra.

A large number of devotees and heads of peethams visited the Sachidananda Asram in Tadepalli on the first day.Organiser B Bharat Reddy informed the media Kiran Kumar Sarma will be seen in the attire of Peethadipati of Visakha on Monday. On the last day, Monday, Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, K Chandrasekhar Rao and Naveen Patnaik, Governor ESL Narasimham and other VIPs will attend the event.

On Sunday, spiritual events like Sanyasanga Ashta Sraaddhalu, Ahityagni, Vakyardha Mahasabha will be organised. On the last day, Monday, Viraja Homam, Savithri Pravilaapanam, Sikha, KatiSutra, Kashaya, Danda, Guru Sameepa Gamanam and other spiritual events will be organised.
