Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh touch 10,000 mark with 497 new cases
Andhra Pradesh reported 497 new coronavirus positive cases and 10 deaths on Wednesday.
Andhra Pradesh reported 497 new coronavirus positive cases and 10 deaths on Wednesday. In the last 24 hours, the Andhra Pradesh government conducted 30,047 tests out of which 448 turned positive. With the fresh cases that include 448 locals, 37 migrants and 12 foreign returnees, the total number of coronavirus cases touched 10,331.
And with the report of 10 deaths, the number of fatalities in Andhra Pradesh reached 129. As many as 146 people were recovered and discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours. So far, 4,779 patients have been discharged from various hospitals. At present, the state has 5,423 active cases.
Of the 497 cases, Anantapur reported 90 coronavirus cases followed by Kurnool with 76 cases, 54 in East Godavari, 41 in Vishakapatnam, 40 in Chittoor, 39 in Guntur, 36 in Krishna district, 28 in West Godavari district, 24 in Kadapa, 9 in Nellore, 8 in Prakasam, 3 in Vizianagaram.
In the overall cases, Kurnool district topped the list with 1,483 cases, followed by 1,132 in Krishna district, 1028 in Anantapur, 891 in Guntur, 760 in East Godavari, 663 in West Godavari, 657 in Chittoor, 493 in Nellore, 478 in Kadapa, 367 in Vishakapatnam, 200 in Prakasam, 94 in Vizianagaram, 60 in Srikakulam and 55 others.
