The public in the Prakasam district voluntarily locked themselves in the houses as part of the Janata Curfew to stop the chair of Coronavirus spread from Sunday morning.

Ongole: The public in the Prakasam district voluntarily locked themselves in the houses as part of the Janata Curfew to stop the chair of Coronavirus spread from Sunday morning.

The district administration including the municipal and panchayat departments has successfully conducted the canvassing for the need of Janata Curfew on Sunday, for the last two days and motivated the public to cooperate. The public also responded to the call given by the prime minister and made them prepared for the day at home, with the necessary arrangements.

On the other hand, religious places like churches, mosques, and temples in the district also announced that they are shutting down for the devotees on Sunday and asked them not to visit. As the result, the major streets and public gathering places including the bus stations and railway stations shut down since yesterday night while the tea shops, paper agents, milk booths, etc are also closed from 07.00 AM in Sunday.

The granite factories and quarries in Chimakurthy, Martur area also closed their operations for the day and the other factories and workshops in the district also announced a holiday for the workers.
