Coronavirus update: 1316 new positive cases reported in Andhra taking tally to 8,58,711

Coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh have seen a fall on Thursday According to a bulletin released on Thursday, 75,165 samples were tested in the last 24 hours where another 1316 positive cases were reported. The total number of coronavirus cases across the state have reached 8,58,711 and eleven people have been died in the past 24 hours, which brings the total death toll to 6910.

The health ministry said 1,821 people had recovered in the past 24 hours, which brings the number of people recovered from the coronavirus to 8,35,801. Another 16,000 are being treated at the hospital. The highest number of cases registered in the last 24 hours was 227 in West Godavari district followed by 206 in Guntur district, 198 in Chittoor district, 196 in Krishna district, 183 in East Godavari district, 60 in Anantapur district, 58 in Kadapa district, 45 in Visakhapatnam district, 43 in Prakasam district, 40 in Nellore district and 28 in Srikakulam district. 18 cases were reported in Vizianagaram district and 14 in Kurnool district respectively.

Meanwhile, East Godavari district has the highest number of 1,21,123 positive cases in the state, followed by West Godavari district with 91,168 cases while Chittoor district has 82,641 cases. Overall, the number of cases is declining with recovery rate is also increasing and the number of deaths decreasing.
