Coronavirus update: Andhra Pradesh reports 663 new positive cases taking tally to 8,69,412

The coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh has seen a fall on Wednesday. According to health bulletin released a short while ago, about 56,988 samples were tested in the last 24 hours where 663 new positive cases were reported taking the total number of cases across the state to 8,69,412 and seven people have died in the past 24 hours, which brings the total death toll to 7003.

The health bulletin reported that the recovery rate also been increased with as many as 1159 people had recovered in the past 24 hours, which brings the total number of recovered cases to 8,55,485 while 6,924 are being treated at the various coronavirus hospitals.

The state has conducted 1,01,66,696 tests overall, which is a massive number. As far as deaths are concerned two died in the Krishna, one each in West Godavari, Guntur, Nellore, Visakhapatnam and Anantapur. Meanwhile, East Godavari district has the highest number of 1,22,421 positive cases in the state, followed by West Godavari district with 92,615 cases while Chittoor district has 83,875 cases and stood at top three positions.
