COVID-19 confirmed man in Vijayawada urges people not to pass rumours over his family

Coronavirus positive cases in Andhra Pradesh have reached to five with two fresh cases registered on Saturday, one in Vijayawada and another in East Godavari district. The authorities were alerted and placed them in the isolation ward. Meanwhile, Vijayawada's victim has released a selfie video expressing his concern of false propaganda being spread against his family.

In the video, he said that he arrived at the Delhi airport from Paris on the morning of the 16th of this month. He had come to Hyderabad on a connecting flight after screening. He said he had reached Vijayawada from Hyderabad on 17 through a cab. According to video, Municipal vigilance staff had come to his house after being informed that he had arrived from Paris as asked him to self isolate who stayed at home and went nowhere. He then informed the officials after suffering from fever resulting corona positive. After undergoing distress, he left a video message to support him. He said he would help people by bringing awareness once he gets cured.

The district collector Imtiaz was alerted after a corona positive case was reported in the city. A high alert was declared in the area. The family had also been carefully screened.
