Tirupati: The Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy has inaugurated 70th Vanamahotsavam programme at Tukivakam village on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion he underlined the importance of planting trees in a big way. The forest department has geared up to plant 2.78 crore plants in the district during this planting season. TUDA Chairman and Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Collector Dr N Bharat Gupta, District forest officials and others took part in the programme.
