A goods train carrying iron ore from Odisha to Visakhapatnam got derailed and two wagons fell near Vizianagaram railway station.

Due to this accident, trains coming from Vizag are running late. Train No 12807 Samatha express which runs between Visakhapatnam and New Delhi, Tirupati-Puri express, Visakhapatnam-Raipur passenger and some other trains are reaching their destinations one hour behind schedule.

Many regular passengers and government employees could not reach their offices on time owing to the delays. Hundreds of regular passengers like government employees travel between Vizag and Vizianagaram , Bobbili, Parvathipuram by Samatha express. But due to this derailment, they could not reach offices on time on Wednesday.

K Ravi Kumar, a teacher working at Komarada, said , "It was too late today. I could not reach the office on time. There is no alternative for me to reach there. I have to apply for leave."
