East Godavari and West Godavari receives Swachhata Awards in ODF and Zero Waste Management

Andhra Pradesh has won a couple of awards at the national level. The awards were presented to East and West Godavari districts for their salient work in the state under the Swachch Bharat Mission, announced by Union Jalasakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. The awards were received in ODF, Zero Waste Management, New Technologies were in Union Minister Shekhawat presented the awards to East and West Godavari Collectors.

On the other hand, Tourism Minister Avanti Srinivas said that the city of Visakhapatnam is fortunate to be ranked third in international competitions. "Along with government measures, the development of Visakhapatnam is possible only with the cooperation of the people. Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is paying special attention to the development of the city," Avanti said

Visakhapatnam Smart City competed with global cities at the 2020 Smart City Expo World Congress in Spain. 20 cities around the world competed with the Most Innovative and Successful Projects in the 'Living and Inclusion Award' category wherein Visakhapatnam came in third place. The 'All Ability Park' built on Beach Road competed for the Living and Inclusion Award.
