Faculty of Dr YSR Horticultural University urged to adopt blended learning modules for effective learning outcomes

Eluru: Dr YSR Horticultural University organised a two-day workshop on ‘NARES-Blended Learning Platform (BLP)’ in collaboration with ICAR- IASRI on Monday and Tuesday.

Vice-chancellor Dr T Janakiram highlighted the importance of Blended learning platform and appreciated the efforts of Dr Sudeep Marwah, Head, Department of Computer applications, ICAR-IASRI and his team for their sincere efforts in developing various ICT tools such as Academic management system (AMS), Agri Diksha etc for the benefit of faculty and students.

He emphasised that enhancing digital networks is important to meet the guidelines of National Education Policy 2020 as well as the nation’s expectation. He urged the faculty to adopt blended learning modules for effective learning outcomes.

Dr Sudeep Marwah, Head (CA), ICAR-IASRI narrated the importance, need and development of online and virtual classrooms and how it has been revolutionised during the post-pandemic period.

Dr AS Padmavathamma, Dean of Horticulture and Nodal Officer and Dr S Surya Kumari, Dean of PG Studies attended the inaugural programme as guests of honour and addressed the gathering on the significance of Blended Learning platform.

The programme was organised by Dr M Madhavi, Associate Dean and Dr K Uma Krishna, Professor (Statistics), College of Horticulture, Dr YSRHU, Venkataramannagudem.

Dr DR Salomi Suneetha, Dean of Student Affairs, Associate Deans of the Colleges, teaching and non-teaching staff and students were present.
