Kurnool: Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy has said that the government will ensure all benefits to every eligible poor in the state through the welfare schemes. The Minister laid foundation stone on Sunday for a slew of developmental works taken up with a cost of Rs 3.32 crore and Rs 49.17 crore. Speaking on the occasion, Buggana said that foundation stone was laid for laying a BT road with double-lane from Seetharamapuram metta to Gorumankonda village at a cost of Rs 2.80 crore.

He also inaugurated the village secretariat building constructed at a cost of Rs 35 lakh and Dr YSR Village Clinic constructed at a cost of Rs 17.50 lakh. He later visited Gorumankonda in Bethamcherla and inaugurated CC road that was laid from Gorumankonda R&B road to Gorumankonda village with a cost of Rs 1.37 crore.

The Minister said that he laid foundation stones for the construction of a new BC residential boy's hostel building at Gorumankonda with a cost of Rs 36 crore and construction of an IIT college building with a cost of Rs 7.80 crore. He further said that another foundation stone was also laid for the construction of a skill development building with latest technology at a cost of Rs 4 crore.

Buggana said in a span of six months, several double lane roads have been laid in Dhone constituency. Initiatives have been taken to strengthen the Primary Healthcare Centre for extending quality treatment to people of Seetharamapuram village. Road widening has been taken up at the sacred pilgrimage Maddilety Swamy with a cost of Rs 25 crore, stated the Minister.

Revenue Development Officer Hari Prasad, Bethamcherla tahsildar Vidya Sagar, MPDO Nagabhushanam Reddy, MPTC Subbamma, village sarpanch Venugopal Reddy and Deputy Engineer Ramesh Reddy participated in the programme.
