Ensure tight security at counting centres: Collector
East Godavari Collector and District Election Officer Kartikeya Mishra directed the security agencies to gear up the security arrangements by barricading at counting halls and outside by May 15 for the counting process to be taken up on 23.
Kakinada: East Godavari Collector and District Election Officer Kartikeya Mishra directed the security agencies to gear up the security arrangements by barricading at counting halls and outside by May 15 for the counting process to be taken up on 23.
Reviewing the counting arrangements for the 3 Parliamentary and 19 Assembly constituencies in the district, with the returning officers at collectorate on Saturday evening, the Collector gave directions to this extent.
In this connection, the Collector directed the officials to identify the locations for parking near counting centres and inform the same to the contesting candidates and their agents. The Collector also said that the first round training to the counting supervisors and assistants will be conducted on May 18 and necessary entry passes will be given to staff and counting agents.
With regard to communication of election results, the Collector directed the concerned to make separate arrangements for round wise announcements and to set up media centres for both print and electronic media.
