Excise officials told to be alert in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Prohibition and Excise department officials should educate public on the ill-effects of yielding to the freebies offered by the political parties in the coming elections, said Joint Collector Kritika Shukla.
Speaking at a meeting at Sub-collector's office here on Tuesday, she asked Prohibition and Excise department officials to be alert.
She asked them to create awareness among people by placing wall posters and hoardings besides organising awareness conferences and cultural programmes.
She further said that any complaint related to the department could be lodged by calling toll-free number 18004254846 or landline number 0866 2428333.
She also said that the identity of the complainants will be kept confidential.
