Expert committee stresses need for developing communication system in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: Expert Committee on the Development of the state convenor G S Rao has underlined the need to develop communication system in each district. At a meeting held at Sub-Collector's office here on Tuesday, he said the police and other departments also should endeavour to develop communication system.

The committee is visiting all districts in the State for assessing the situation. It will submit its report to the government after series of meetings with the officials. District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy said the district was well connected with rail, road and air network

and having abundant natural resources for the development of the district. Food Processing units should be established as East Godavari as it is agro-based district. The district is having plain, agency and delta areas which is unique and underlined the need to start various industries also.

Committee members K T Ravindra, Prof Mahaveer, Prof Sivananda Swamy, Dr Anjani Mohan, K B Arunachalam, A V S Rao, Urban Superintendent of Police Shemushi Bajpayee, Sub-Collector R Mohan Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Abishkit Kishore and other officials were present.
