Extend best medical care to the needy, hospital officials told Karthikeya Mishra
The Health and Family Welfare Commissioner Karthikeya Mishra visited SV Medical College, Maternity Hospital and Ruia Hospital in the city on Thursday.
Tirupati: The Health and Family Welfare Commissioner Karthikeya Mishra visited SV Medical College, Maternity Hospital and Ruia Hospital in the city on Thursday. He asked the Superintendent of Maternity hospital Dr Bharathi to bring into use the neonatal emergency ward immediately.
The funding given by National Health Mission should be used properly for the development of the hospital, he said. The Maternity Hospital is the biggest in Rayalaseema, he said and asked the hospital authorities to extend best medical care to the needy.
At SV Medical College (SVMC), he enquired about the Ayushman Bharath Telemedicine hub and its functioning and asked for the further requirements. SVMC Principal Dr C Jaya Bhaskar, Ruia Hospital Superintendent Dr NV Ramanaiah, Dr S Saraswathi Devi, Dr EB Devi, Dr U Srihari, Dr Ashok Kumar Reddy and others participated in the programme.
In another programme, Ruia hospital Superintendent Dr NV Ramanaiah and Hospital working committee Chairman B Chandra Sekhar have inaugurated the physiotherapy equipment donated to the hospital by Venkata Padmavati Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS).
Orthopaedics HoD Dr S Srinivasa Reddy, Physiotherapy in charge Dr Lavanya, V Kiron and others took part.
