Former Chief Minister Chandababu Naidu' visit to Amaravati raised the backlash from the farmers of the capital city who threw stones and slippers at Babu's convoy. While some farmers have been supporting Babu. However, with the major protest from various sources, the TDP chief has lambasted Jagan government for acting so feudalistic and said that he would meet PM Modi soon.

Chandrababu Naidu said Amaravathi was his dream project and criticized the YCP government for destroying Amravati and preventing the development of capital.

With the comments of Chandrababu, YSRCP leader have countered Naidu for his comments. "This is not at all a gentleman's, attitude to complain on a six months government. Chandrababu Naidu is trying to provoke the farmers and create the law and order issue," Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana.

On the other hand farmers have divided in this issue as some are supporting the Babu's visit and lamenting at the farmers who are opposing the capital city. However, it is clear that there is division in the farmers of the Amaravati.
