Fencing teams selected for state championship

Ongole: Prakasam District Fencing Association announced on Tuesday that Under 10 and Under 12 Boys and Girls teams were selected to represent the district. The association general secretary, V Nageswara Rao said that the selection was held at Narayana Public School in Nirmal Nagar.

He announced that Sk Adil, G Yaswanth are selected into under 10 boys team and Sk Nagifa, D Saranya Sruthika, N Susmitha, D Pranamya and D Damyaneswari were selected into under 10 girls. The boys M Ram Charan, K Samishnu, R Neshvik Teja, SV Bhaskar, K Rishi, V Ram Charan, U Marvin and K Tarun Shankar along with the girls Sk Asifa, P Amrutha Varshini, M Lakshmi, P Himabindu, B Namratha and N Jhansi were selected for under 12 teams, he announced.

The secretary said that these children will participate in the state-level fencing championship scheduled on July 20 and 21 at Dhone in Kurnool district. He announced that R Naga Chiranjeevi, B Bharat, R Vijayalakshmi will act as the coaches for the under 10 and 12 boys and girls teams. The association president, Balisetty Nageswara Rao appreciated the children selected for the teams.
