Filing of Nominations for MPTC and ZPTC elections in AP begins on Monday
Nominations for the Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad elections in Andhra Pradesh has began on Monday.
Nominations for the Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad elections in Andhra Pradesh has begun on Monday. The election will be held for 660 ZPTC posts and 9,984 MPTC posts. Polls will be held on March 21 and March 24 from 7 am to 5 pm.
The last date for submission of nominations is March 11 while on the following day, the nominations will be scrutinised and objections will be received on March 13. The deadline for withdrawal of nominations will be 3 pm on March 14.
The polling will be held on the 21st and the counting of votes is scheduled on March 24. While the election of ZP chairman, vice chairman and co-option members will be done on the 30th.
As the nominations began, there is a huge crowd gathered at all MPDO and ZP offices on Monday. The party cadre is moving pillar to post to get the tickets in local body elections while the MLA's and ministers are looking for suitable candidates to give tickets.
