Rajamahendravaram: Former deputy Mayor B Satyananrayana, popularly known as Box Prasad has given 23 kgs of silver ornaments to Goddess Vijaya Durga on the first day of nine-day Devi Navaratri fest at Swarajya Nagar here on Sunday.
The goddess was decorated with silver ornaments along with Kavacham. The temple was illuminated and special pandals were erected for the celestial fete. Temple committee members V Bujji, G Ganesh, PN Rao, PS Rao, G Suresh and others were present.
