Former TDP MLA AS Manohar shocks Chandrababu, resigns to party

Another TDP senior leader of the gave a rude shock to the party high command on Thursday Former MLA of Chittoor constituency AS Manohar has resigned from the party. He said he would keep himself away from politics for some time before moving to another party. Manohar served in various positions in the party since 1994. He served as convener of the TDP of Chittoor. He won the municipal election in 1994 and later won as MLA in 1999 and 2004.

Manohar later joined in the YSRCP, however, the party did not give a ticket in 2014. He then joined the TDP before the 2019 elections and lost to YSRCP from Chittoor. It has become interesting to see him resign from the party despite attending party events till yesterday. On the other hand, there is speculation that Manohar will be joining the campaign.

Earlier, there were speculations rife around some of the TDP MLA's defection to the YSRCP. However, there is no concrete news about it. It remains to be seen how many TDP leaders lined up to leave the party.
