Four from TS killed in AP car crash
Five persons died when a speeding car going from Hyderabad to Vijayawada rammed the divider and crashed on the other side of the highway near Chillakallu in Jaggaiahpet mandal in Krishna district on Sunday morning.
Vijayawada: Five persons died when a speeding car going from Hyderabad to Vijayawada rammed the divider and crashed on the other side of the highway near Chillakallu in Jaggaiahpet mandal in Krishna district on Sunday morning.
The victims were going to attend a contract work when the ghastly mishap took place.
According to Chillakallu police, the accident occurred when the driver of the speeding Maruti Swift car had lost control and rammed the divider and later the car fell on the other side of the road on another vehicle resulting in death of five persons.
The deceased were identified as Narapogu Gopaiah (21) of Chuttagani mandal, Telangana, Sk Muneer (24), Film Nagar, Shaikpet Hyderabad, Potula Bheemireddy of Kalaburgi, Karnataka, and Motlampalli Bheemireddy of Antaram village of Dautalatabad mandal in Mahboobnagar district, Telangana. Four of the deceased were natives of Telangana.
Of the accident victims, two died on the spot and two while being shifted to Jaggaiahpet government hospital. The family members reached the hospital at Jaggaiahpet on Sunday evening.
The police suspect that the over speeding of the vehicle led to the mishap.
V Koteswara Rao, a resident of Patel Nagar in Hyderabad, died later in the evening while undergoing treatment at the government hospital in Vijayawada.
