Good response for Spandana programme: SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi

Kakinada: District Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi said that the 'Spandana' programme is getting a very good response every week in all police stations under the purview of urban police district.

The programme is conducted every Monday in all police stations from 10 am to 12:30 pm and the respective officials are addressing many cases there itself. SP Asmi interacted with the senior citizens who turned up to submit their grievances during the Spandana programme.

The district police have decided to pay a special attention on the grievances of senior citizens and women and take prompt action.

Adnan Nayeem Asmi has directed the officials concerned to visit the field to understand the grievance in detail in order to offer a fair service to the petitioners. People should come forward to submit their petitions without any fear and they should also avoid delay in doing so.

Issues related to the domestic front, differences between couples, incidence of blackmailing, intimidation, targeting women and petty disputes could be tackled immediately.

In case of any serious issues, they could be given due importance by registering cases and taking investigation as required, the SP said.

On Monday, 238 grievances pertaining to various issues, including senior citizen problems and harassment for additional dowry, were registered during the 'Spandana' programme.
