Government committed for women empowerment

Kadapa: Deputy Chief Minister Amzadh Basha has disclosed that as part of the initiative in promoting qualitative education in the government schools government has decided to launch Ammavadi scheme from 26th January despite facing serious financial hurdles.

Addressing the gathering after distributing sewing machines to the Muslim Minority women here on Monday he said that under this scheme government would credit Rs 15,000 in the bank account of women who were sent their children to the government school. While asserting his government commitment over women empowerment, the minister said the government has allocated 50percent of nominated posts to the women and involving them as partners in development activities.

Minority Corporation Executive Director P.Ramachandra Reddy has said that as part of an initiative in extending financial support to the Muslim Minority women government has sanctioned 55 sewing machines after providing training to them. He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the opportunity in a proper manner. Former municipal vice-chairman B.Padamavathi and YCP leaders were present.
