Government ensuring uninterrupted power supply despite increase in demand

Guntur: Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita expressed satisfaction over nine-hour day time power supply to the agriculture pumpsets.
Addressing a press conference at her camp office in Guntur city on Sunday, she said that taking farmers problems into consideration, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was implementing nine hours daytime power supply to the agriculture pumpsets to keep up his election promise.
She said that though power consumption increased in the district, the government is supplying uninterrupted power to the consumers.
She said that government giving 200 units of free power to the SC, ST consumers was a historical decision and made it clear that there will be no power cut in the days to come. She said that the SCs and STs were elated over the government's decision.
The Minister instructed the officials to ensure 24x7 uninterrupted power supply to consumers and asked them to give prior information to consumers if they stop power supply to take up electrical line maintenance works
APSPDCL Superintendent Engineer B Jayabharat Rao said that they were furnishing information about power interruption to the consumers every day.
SPDCL executive engineers J Haribabu, N Pichaiah and P Vijaya Kumar were among those who were present.
