Government will set up another 3000 liquor shops

Guntur: The government has all set to open another three thousand liquor shops from October 1 in all the districts in the state under the new excise policy. First, it will set up two thousand five hundred shops from October 1st week. Later, it will set up another five hundred shops. According to sources in the government, all the liquor shops set up by the liquor traders in the state will be closed by September 31

and the government will open the liquor shops.

As a part of imposing total prohibition in a phased manner, the government will set up liquor shops. At present each liquor shop is having ten to fifteen liquor shops and traders are not maintaining the timings and violating the MRP.
