Guntur: CPI expressed its solidarity to TDP's Nirasana Deeksha opposing power tariff hike in the TDP offices across the district to mount pressure on the government to implement to old slab system on Thursday.

Former minister Nakka Anand Babu, Guntur West constituency in-charge Kovelamudi Ravindra (Nani) observed Nirasana Deekha at Nakka Anand Babu's residence at Vasantharayapuram.

Speaking on the occasion, Nakka Anand Babu demanded that the government rollback power tariff hike immediately. He said it is not correct to impose additional burden on the common man by hiking power tariff hike.

Guntur West Assembly constituency TDP in-charge Kovelamudi Ravindra said that common and middle-class people were already facing severe financial problems due to lockdown caused by outbreak of Coronavirus.

He felt that there is no need to hike power tariff now. CPI state president K Rama Krishna and CPI state assistant secretary Muppalla Nageswara Rao visited Nirasana Deeksha camp and expressed solidarity to Nakka Anand Babu and other TDP leaders.
