Guntur: The urban police have set up check-posts at all important centers to strictly implement the Section-144 and to restrict the movement of vehicles in order to check the spread of coronavirus. Following orders of the government, the police department is implementing Section 144.

Guntur Additional SPs D Gangadharam and Manohara Rao on Tuesday reviewed the implementation of Section 144 in Guntur urban police district in the conference in DPO in Guntur city.

They directed the police officials to create awareness on coronavirus and restrict the movement of people. He urged the police officials to allow people to purchase essential commodities within a three-km radius.

They instructed them to allow one person to ride a motorbike and two persons in the car. They explained the need to avoid mass gathering to check spread of coronavirus. It was also instructed to take steps to close hotels, restaurants, parcel services, till March 31 and to close lodges also.

Guntur east DSP K Supraja, South DSP Kamalakara Rao, Kothapet CI SV Rajasekhar Reddy were among those who were present.
