Guntur: BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana urged the youth to draw inspiration from the life of Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mukherjee.

At a programme organised at his residence here on Tuesday, Kanna garlanded to the portrait of Syama Prasad Mukherjee and paid tributes to him on the occasion of his 67th death anniversary.

Kanna recalled that Mukherjee had sacrificed his Cabinet berth and fought against autonomy status for Jammu and Kashmir. He pointed out that Mukherjee had opposed Article 370.

BJP State Legal Cell convener aJupudi Ranga Raju, former Minister Ravela Kishore Babu, party leaders T V Rao, Neelam Prasad and Thota Sambasiva were among those present.
