Visakhapatnam: Explaining how food can be grown in a sustainable manner and in an organic way by adopting healthy practices, member of NGO K Srinvas Kumar gave a presentation on growing vegetables to students of GVMC High School, Rayapalem on Friday.

Students in large numbers took part in the seed balls throwing exercise. The platform, facilitated by Paryavarana Margadarsi Vaisakhi and Green Climate, aimed at nudging the youngsters to consider school gardening to promote sustainable farming methods.

Organisers said that over 25,000 seed balls were dispersed near Bheemunipatnam to help improve green cover.
