Harsha Kumar meets Naidu, likely to join TDP today
Congress senior leader and former Lok Sabha member from Amalapuram G V Harsha Kumar met TDP president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Visakhapatam airport here on Saturday evening
Visakhapatnam: Congress senior leader and former Lok Sabha member from Amalapuram G V Harsha Kumar met TDP president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Visakhapatam airport here on Saturday evening.
Naidu arrived at the airport on the way to Srikakulam. Harsha Kumar has already discussed with the TDP leadership on joining the party.
In view of the model code of conduct being in force, Harsha Kumar has not joined the party at airport and he is expected to do so at a public meeting to be held in Visakhapatnam on March 17.
Sources said that Harsha Kumar will contest from Amalapuram Lok Sabha constituency as TDP candidate.
As part of the first phase of election campaign, Chandrababu Naidu is participating five public meeting at Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada and Tadepalligudem on Sunday.
