Tirupati: High alert was sounded by the TTD security officials in Tirumala hill shrine in the backdrop of Jammu Kashmir Article 370 abolishment in Parliament on Monday. Octopus Commando Unit has also received warning alert from State DGP office on the latest situation. As well as SP Chittoor has also alerted all the Sub Divisional Police Officers across the district especially in Muslim Population living towns like Madanapalli, Punganur and Piler.

Chitoor Police have kept surveillance in MadanaPalli, Punganur and Piler towns which the predominantly Muslim population living areas.

In this regard, SP Chittoor Ch Venkata Appala Naidu speaking to The Hans India told that already we have alerted our personnel at Madanapalli and Punganur and Piler towns. Presently our local police concerned placed surveillance on sensitive areas of those towns. We are ready to control any situation, so far as law and order concern there was no single untoward incident registered, the SP Naidu said.

BJP celebrates the article 370 abolishment:

Tirupati BJP cadre has celebrated the abolishment of article 370 in Parliament on Monday, in this connection, BJP leaders gave pro-government slogans and appreciated the PM Modi's daring step in abolishing the article 370 and 35A regarding Jammu Kashmir State. In the celebrations, BJP leaders have busted crackers and distributed sweets to the public at NaluguKalla Mandapam Junction on Monday afternoon. They hoisted National Flag at traffic post. In the Programme BJP defeated MLA candidate Bhavani Sankar, District Leaders AkulaSathis, Vishnu Vardhan Reddy and party cadre were present.
