Hyderabad: The First Additional District and Sessions Judge Court in Shadnagar granted seven days police custody of the four accused in Disha gang-rape and murder case on Wednesday evening. The accused, who are currently lodged in the Cherlapally Central Prison, will be taken into custody by the Shadnagar police on Thursday morning, after the court order reaches the prison authorities.

The Shadnagar police had arrested the four accused last Friday and the court remanded them for 14 days judicial custody. The Cyberabad cops filed a petition seeking police custody of the four for 10 days but after hearing the petition for 4 days, the court issued orders on Wednesday granting the custody for seven days.

The police are going to extract further information from the accused after taking them into their custody. Still there is no official information from the police whether they are going to interrogate them on the prison premises or in any other secret place.

Since an outrage is prevailing in the public against the four, the police, keeping their security reasons in view, are reportedly planning to interrogate them in the prison itself by senior experts in the investigation team and secrecy will be maintained so that facts related to the case are not disclosed to the media.

Already, the officials prepared a questionnaire to seek information and clarity on many aspects from them such as the information about the victim's mobile, their travelling route, drinking timings, whether they followed Disha after watching her parking the bike at the toll gate, how they kidnapped, gang-raped and murdered her. The police are trying to find out whether they burnt the body after killing her or set ablaze when she was in unconscious state.

The police are going to seek clarifications from the accused and match it with the earlier findings of the police which were disclosed by the Cyberabad CP to the media. Later, after collecting the technical findings and other evidences, the police are going to file a charge sheet in the fast track court so that the suspects will be punished stringently, and the judgement comes speedily.
